A native Athenian and graduate of Athens Technical College with an Associate's Degree in Marketing and Management, Terri Franks spent her early career years working for Hyatt Hotels on Hilton Head Island, SC and in San Antonio, TX, Houston, TX and Savannah, GA. In 1985, she returned to Athens and began her career with the University of Georgia as the Catering Manager for Food Services. After fifteen years, she resigned her position with UGA to focus on being a homemaker and mother. She returned to campus in January of 2007 as the Administrative Associate for the Visitors Center. She and her husband, Barry, have one daughter.
